e-Energy 2012 CFP

------------------------------------------------------------------------

                           CALL FOR PAPERS

                            e-Energy 2012

                  Third International Conference on
                        Future Energy Systems:
Where Energy, Computing and Communication Meet

                   May 9-11, 2012 -- Madrid, Spain

               http://e-energy2012.networks.imdea.org/

                   in cooperation with ACM SIGCOMM

------------------------------------------------------------------------

e-Energy is the conference on future energy systems, where energy,
computing and communication meet. The first e-Energy conference was
held in April 2010, in Passau (Germany), and the second took place
in May/June 2011 at Columbia University, in New York City (USA).

e-Energy 2012 invites submission of two categories of paper: full
papers and discussion papers. Full papers should be no longer than 10
pages and discussion papers should be no longer than 4 pages. All
papers must present original theoretical and/or experimental research
that has not been previously published, accepted for publication, or is
not currently under review by another conference or journal.
Submissions must be in PDF-format using the double-column ACM format
given at http://www.acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates
Further submission information can be accessed via
http://events.networks.imdea.org/content/e-energy-2012/paper-submission
Proceedings will be published by ACM and appear in the ACM library and
IEEE Xplore (subject to agreement by ACM and the IEEE).

Full papers should include a detailed description of research either
in progress or completed. A discussion paper describes innovative and
novel ideas that have not yet been fully explored, but have the
potential to influence the research community. A discussion paper
could, for example, expose a new problem, advocate a new approach,
re-frame or debunk existing work, report unexpected results from a
deployment, or propose new evaluation methodologies. We especially
encourage submissions of early-stage work and enticing but unproven
ideas.

Papers are to be submitted via EDAS: http://edas.info/N11357

The 13th ACM International Symposium on Mobile Ad Hoc Networking and
Computing
(June 11 - 14, 2012 Hilton Head Island, SC)

ACM MobiHoc is a premier international symposium dedicated to addressing
challenges emerging from wireless ad hoc networking and computing. With its
highly selective technical program, the symposium will bring together
researchers and practitioners from a broad spectrum of wireless networking
research to present the most up-to-date results and achievements in the
field.

We invite paper submissions on mobile ad hoc networks, wireless sensor
networks, wireless mesh networks, vehicular networks and ad hoc computing
systems, with the focus being on issues at and above the MAC layer.
Published papers will present original and novel research addressing
theoretical challenges and/or practical issues in the wireless network
design.
Areas of interest include, but are not limited to the following:

Applications and middleware support
Transport, network, and MAC protocols
Energy efficiency
Location discovery
Cross-layer design and control
Network resilience, fault-tolerance, and reliability
Functional computation and data aggregation
Modeling and performance analysis
Scaling laws and fundamental limits
Network coding
Opportunistic and delay-tolerant networks
Vehicular networks
Cognitive radio networks
Distributed sensing, actuation, control, and coordination
Trust, security and privacy
System design and testbeds
Measurements from experimental systems

The symposium specially encourages the submission of exploratory studies
that identify new challenges in the network design, innovative services, and
applications that may stimulate far-reaching future research.

This year's symposium will assign a Best Paper Award among all the papers
submitted to the conference.

Original Paper Submission Guidelines: Papers must report new results
substantiated by experimentation, simulation, or analysis. All submissions
will be handled electronically and must be in PDF format. Paper submissions
for regular papers must be limited to 10 pages (US letter size, 8.5 x 11
inches) including text, figures and references. The font size must be at
least 10 points. Margin must be 1 inch on all sides. Accepted papers will be
published in the symposium proceedings. All submitted papers would be judged
based on their quality through double-blind reviewing, where the identities
of the authors are withheld from the reviewers. Therefore, authors' names
must NOT appear in the paper or in the PDF file. Submitted papers must not
be currently under review for any other publication. Before submitting your
paper, please check the description of the conference scope.

Instructions on paper submission are available on the symposium webpage (
http://www.sigmobile.org/mobihoc/2012). Please direct any questions about
the paper submission process to the Program Co-Chairs.
