[ICUFN2010] Deadline Extended (Mar. 1st, 2010)

ICUFN 2010
The Second International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks
June 16-18, 2010, Jeju Island, Korea
http://www.icufn.org

General Information

During the last decade, we have witnessed fast developments of various
networking technologies, and many forms of networking are core parts
of our daily lives now. With the proliferation of future wireless
technologies and electronic devices, there is a fast growing interest
in ubiquitous and future networks. In the days to come, we expect
that the ubiquitous communication and networking technologies will become
ubiquitous along with the emergence of many future networking
technologies. The ubiquitous and future network will offer multiservice,
multimedia services convergence, mobility, service ubiquity and context
awareness, fixed-mobile convergence, quality of service, variable
connectivity, spontaneous networking, autonomic networking and other
capabilities as the norm. Building on the success of the First
International Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN 2009),
which took place in Hong Kong, June 2009, the Second International
Conference on Ubiquitous and Future Networks (ICUFN 2010) aims at
addressing advances in research on ubiquitous and future networks,
covering topics ranging from technology issues to applications and
test-bed developments. ICUFN 2010 solicits original, unpublished
contributions in all aspects of ubiquitous and future networking.
Submitted articles must not be concurrently considered elsewhere for
publication. The conference is organized by KICS, Korea, with the
technical co-sponsorship of IEEE Communications Society.
All accepted papers will be published in the proceedings with assigned
IEEE ISBN number and will also be included in the IEEE Xplore
Digital Library.

We decided to allow the submission of extended abstracts in order
to accommodate the most recent research outcomes.
The submissions should be formatted with single-spaced,
double-column pages using at least 10 pt (or high! er) size fonts
on A4 or letter pages in IEEE style format.
The maximum page numbers are 6 for full papers. Authors may submit
2-page two-column manuscript for extended abstracts.
The camera-ready version for an accepted paper cannot exceed 6 pages.
Detailed formatting and submission instructions will be available
on the conference web site (http://www.icufn.org).

Selected Journal Publication

All accepted papers will be appeared in IEEEXplore Digital library only if
at least one of the authors attends to present the paper.

Special Issue on "Wireless
and Network Security"

We are living in communication age and use of latest technology in
the field of computer communication is offering many new services but at the
same time raising various security issues. Securing the computer communication
by keeping all the services available and cost effective is one of the major
challenges in this era.  Mobility is something that will be the
requirement of each and every type of network technology in coming few years.
So mobile communication adds more in the security issues and opens many doors
for the attacker to attack. Researchers all over the world are developing
solution to close those doors from where attacks can be launched. In short
providing security in computer communication (especially wireless
communication) is one of the major challenges of the current age.

This Special Issue aims to publish high quality, original,
unpublished research papers covering all

aspects related to Wireless and Network Security. In addition,
this Special Issue collects extended versions of accepted and presented papers
from First International Workshop on Wireless and Network Security (WNS 2010)
in Miyazaki, Japan.

ICNP, the IEEE International Conference on Network Protocols, is the
premier conference covering all aspects of network protocols,
including design, analysis, specification, verification,
implementation, and performance. ICNP 2010, the 18th ICNP, will be
held in Kyoto, Japan, on October 5-8, 2010. Papers with significant
research contributions to the field of network protocols are solicited
for submission. Papers cannot be previously published nor under review
by another conference or journal. Papers containing plagiarized
material will be subject to the IEEE plagiarism policy and will be
rejected without review.  Topics of interest include, but are not
limited to:

 1. Protocol design, implementation, testing, and analysis
 2. Measurement of protocol performance
 3. Protocols for specific functions, such as routing, congestion control,
     security, survivability, and network management
 4. Protocols for wireless, mobile, sensor, and mesh networks
 5. Protocols for cloud computing, peer-to-peer systems, data centers,

Papers must deal specifically with protocols. Papers on general
networking where protocols are only a secondary focus will be
considered only if they are of exceptional quality.  ICNP will select
an accepted full paper for the best paper award.

ICNP 2010 will use a double-blind review process. The identity of
authors and referees will not be revealed to each other. To ensure
blind reviewing, author names and affiliations should not appear in
the paper; bibliographic references should be made in such a way as to
preserve author anonymity. Papers should adhere to the IEEE format and
should not exceed 10 pages. The font size should be no smaller than 10
pt. At lease one author of an accepted paper is expected to register
for the conference and to present the paper at the conference, in
order for the paper to appear in the conference proceedings and the
